The One World Award 2010
Approximately 700 guests came to the festive event and celebrated the four finalists and the OWA laureates together with the OWA jury and the OWA initiator Jospeh Wilhelm and IFOAM Director Markus Arbenz.
The nominations for the One World Award demonstrate the many positive examples worldwide that can be explored and experienced. Amongst others from private persons, university professors or politicians like Mrs. Bärbel Höhn. 29 qualified nominations from Peru to Laos made it to the jury. With extraordinary motivation everyone contributes to give globalisation a positive dimension.
Therefore the members of the jury, the two laureates of the alternative Nobel Price, the vicepresident of the IFOAM and Joseph Wilhelm were spoilt for choice. In the end the five finalists and the winners of the second OWA were firm.
